Dear Speakers, Delegates, Sponsors and Supporting Organisations,
We trust you are keeping well.
The uncertainty and life disruption caused by the Covid-19 needs no analysis as its consequences are acknowledged by all.
After careful consideration, bearing in mind mainly the safety and well-being of all our patrons, it has been decided very painfully to postpone the Malta Maritime Week that was scheduled between 5 and 9 October, 2020 to a later date.
The first week in October of every even year had been chosen for the holding of this event after careful consideration ensuring that it did not coincide as much as possible with any other major maritime event in the region. Within this context, we are closely monitoring the situation and we are looking to identify a new date, just for this time, and will be advising you accordingly as soon as possible.
You are the backbone of this event and we would be doing you an injustice if we were to procrastinate taking this decision in the hope that circumstances will change positively enough in time to hold such a gathering without any health risks at all. We also appreciate that you would need to reschedule your business commitments.
Whilst apologizing for the inconvenience this postponement may have caused you we thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Please stay safe. We sincerely want to meet you all at the next summit.
