Marco Cremona was born in Malta on the 14th December 1951, he studied art under his late father Emvin, at the Academia di Belle Arti in Perugia, Italy and at the “Slade” School of Fine Art (university
College) in London U.K. between 1970 and 1974.
In 1977 Cremona terminated his Art-Teaching post with the Malta Government and since has been working freelance on various commissions for hotels, private houses, school and churches. Other works
including a Crucifix for the Maltese House of Representatives, a set of postage stamps to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of the Council of Europe , a seven metre high monument in stainless steel and
local stone to commemorate the U.S.A. - U.S.S.R. Summit held in Malta in 1990 and a monument dedicated to the Maltese Sculptor Antonio Sciortino, erected at Zebbug Main Square.
Works by Marco Cremona have been presented as State Gifts in Libya and the Council of Europe Headquarters in France.
